"The situation here in Kenya is such that you can't arrest anyone else without arresting Moses Kuria," the vocal politician stated in Kikuyu, alluding to the fact that he had been arrested just before former Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama was taken in.

"The things I'm accused of were said over a week ago and when I met with the NCIC Chairman Francis Ole Kaparo he didn't think I was guilty of hate speech.

"How is it then, that after Muthama spoke and they wanted to arrest him they couldn't do it without Moses Kuria being arrested first? How do you arrest an innocent person so that you arrest the guilty one," Kuria posed.

The Gatundu legislator went on to condemn his captors, saying that they had embarrassed him in front of his children.

"Moses Kuria has children who see what is happening on social media. And when they see these things happening to their father they are not happy," the legislator disclosed.
