More Details on Reports of Musalia Mudavadi Leaving NASA

National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders have dismissed a letter doing rounds on social media indicating that Musalia Mudavadi has resigned as a NASA Co-principal.

The letter indicated that Mudavadi had decided to withdraw his support for NASA due to unavoidable circumstances and a night meeting that ended without consensus.

The fake letter read in part, “I hereby tender my resignation as NASA principal and supporter of the change coalition.I wish you all the best in the ongoing contest with a hope that you will campaign and not boycott October 17 election as required by law and for your supporters sake.”

Kenyans.co.ke also established that Mudavadi was today leading an ongoing NASA Parliamentary Group (PG) meeting at Okoa Kenya offices.

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Director of Communications, Philip Etale dismissed the document, accusing Jubilee insiders of being behind the reports.

"Jubilee desperation is clear. They have run out of idea. I bet Alex Chamwada and Itumbi need to go back to the kitchen. Desperate chicks," he stated.

Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior rubbished the said document saying: "The letter purporting that Mudavadi has left NASA is at best a forgery, at worst, a pipe dream. NASA hao!"

Meanwhile, after the PG meeting, Mudavadi confirmed that he was still in NASA and urged Opposition supporters to disregard the letter doing rounds on social media. He rubbished the document as "signs of a desperate party".

The rumours on Mudavadi ditching the Opposition come after two NASA co-principals - former Governors Isaac Ruto (Bomet) and Peter Munya (Meru) - ditched NASA to join the Jubilee Party.
