Deputy President William Ruto has hit out at National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate Raila Odinga for launching a campaign to kick out 12 IEBC bosses who allegedly messed up the August election.
Through a tweet on Sunday afternoon, the Deputy president questioned why the country was allowing the opposition to hold the country hostage with his demands.
"For how long will one man, unable to win elections, continue to blackmail 45m Kenyans using threats of violence, chaos, bloodshed & anarchy," Mr Ruto posed.
On Sunday morning, Mr Odinga released a statement noting that IEBC as currently constituted cannot conduct a free and fair election and as such NASA had launched a campaign against the Commission and its Senior officials.
"Today, we launch our campaign against any elections held by IEBC as currently constituted. We shall go around the country sensitizing about our case against the Commission.
"We shall sensitize our people about the reforms that must take place before they can be called for another election," Odinga stated.
