Arrest Babu Owino Immediately - Moses Kuria Tells IG Boinnet

Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria has called for the immediate arrest of Embakasi East MP Babu Owino following remarks made against President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Kuria on Monday gave various authorities a 24-hour ultimatum saying that he would take matters into his own hands if the authorities did not arrest Mr Owino by close-of-day on Monday.

The Gatundu legislator sent the message calling for Babu's arrest to Director of Criminal Investigations Ndegwa Muhoro, Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet, NCIC Chairman Francis Ole Kaparo and Director of Public Prosecutions Keriako Tobiko.

"I still hold you in high regard," Kuria begun, "The cell number 4 at Pangani which has hosted me frequently is waiting for Babu Owino.

"I trust this will be done today (Monday) to save me unnecessary time, effort and resources tomorrow (Tuesday)," Kuria urged in a Facebook post.

Among other insults, Mr Owino on Sunday called President Kenyatta "Mtoto wa mbwa" (son of a dog).

The former SONU Chairman also compared the President with other African presidents who were considered to be dictators.
