Protests have erupted in Kisumu ahead of the planned National Super Alliance (NASA) anti-IEBC demonstrations at Anniversary Towers in Nairobi.
Kisumu residents have taken to the streets demanding the resignation of IEBC officials among them CEO Ezra Chiloba.
IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba on Monday announced that he won't quit even as the Opposition intensified calls for his ejection from the electoral commission.
Chiloba stated that he and his other colleagues were focusing on the repeat polls on October 26 and not the protests.
"People should focus on preparations for the elections," Chiloba told The Star.

Reports indicate that the demonstrations have been largely peaceful with the crowd chanting, carrying twigs and placards and motorbikes honking.
Meanwhile, in Nairobi, diehard Raila Odinga supporters are gathering outside the IEBC headquarters even as a heavy contingent of police prepare to deal with any violent eventuality.
Anti-riot police are on standby around the commission's offices.

Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula on Monday announced that NASA supporters will take to the streets on Tuesday to push for electoral reforms.
"We will be there until reforms are made. The officers who bungled the elections must be sent home before we agree to go into the repeat election," he noted.
President Uhuru Kenyatta, however, warned the National Super Alliance (NASA) team that they would be met with the full force of the law if they attempt to disrupt businesses.
