Suba South MP John Mbadi has alleged that Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria had a meeting on Monday night to mobilise members of the outlawed 'Mungiki' sect to disrupt NASA's peaceful protests.
During a press briefing at Orange House on Tuesday, Mbadi, who was flanked by other NASA affiliated leaders, stated that all those who attended the night meeting were given crude weapons including clubs and machetes.
"We have reliable information that Moses Kuria met a group of people on Monday night in a bid to disrupt our protests and cause trouble.
"They have been transported for free to the CBD in matatus plying route 102," stated Mbadi.
The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) chairman further added that the opposition had tried to raise the complaint with police bosses but were turned away.
"We wish to make it known to the public that the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Ndegwa Muhoro and Nairobi Police Commander Japheth Koome are aware of the meeting organised by Kuria but have not acted.
"They are solely focused on disrupting our demos," added Mbadi.
The Legislator went ahead to reiterate that they would do everything possible to oust IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba from office in order to have credible elections.
He also touched on the withdrawal of NASA leader Raila Odinga's security detail saying President Uhuru Kenyatta would be responsible if anything happened to their leaders.
