National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate Raila Odinga has threatened to destabilise the government through economic sabotage.
In a press statement on Wednesday, Mr Odinga escalated the war against some corporate entities whom he has accused of collaborating to meddle with the results of the August 8 elections.
"We are considering beginning a period of an economic boycott of products and corporations that are working against the interests of the people of Kenya
"We, the people, are the markets of these corporations and if they want to stifle our democracy we can retaliate," Raila stated.
The former Prime Minister went on to threaten that he along with the NASA co-principals are ready to institute the boycott upon further provocation.
"We have the power and we can react by telling our people not to buy the services of this corporation and this corporation. That time is coming, it has not come as yet," the Opposition leader warned.
The coalition has taken issue with French firm OT-Morpho that provided the KIEMS kits used during the August 8 elections, the IEBC, Jubilee party and mobile service provider Safaricom.
Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore has refuted accusations by the NASA leader terming them as "reckless, callous and unnecessary" and warned that the allegations could endanger the lives of Safaricom members of staff and families.
