CSs Tuya, Mbadi, Ogamba & Mutua Announce New Appointments

Cabinet Secretaries across various ministries on Friday, April 25, announced fresh appointments to streamline operations within their dockets.

According to a gazette notice obtained by Kenyans.co.ke, Defence Cabinet Secretary, Soipan Tuya, announced the appointments of Brigadiers John Mururi, Ibeere and Daniel Bartonjo to government positions.

The trio were appointed to be members of the Board of Directors of the Kenya Ordinance Factories Corporation (KOFC) for three years, beginning Friday, April 25.

Tuya also appointed Colonel Edward Cherop to be a member of the Advisory Committee on Military Veterans, for one year, with effect from  May 1, 2025.

At the same time, Water and Sanitation CS, Eric Muuga, appointed James Wainaina to be a member of the Board of Directors of the Athi Water Works Development Agency for three years.

In the notice, Labour CS Alfred Mutua made six notable appointments. He appointed Elizabeth Chesang, Joseph Etyang, Freddah Seleto, Hannah Njeri, Duncan Chengo, and Aggrey Shitsama to be members of the National Council for Persons with Disabilities.

In the Ministry of Agriculture, CS Mutahi Kagwe appointed Ezekiel Kiprop to be a Member of the Pest Control Products Board, for three years beginning Friday, April 25.

He also appointed John Gikandi to be a Member of the Board of Directors of the National Cereals and Produce Board for three years.

Additionally, Treasury CS John Mbadi appointed Edward Kobuthi, Irene Wanyoike, Celine Orata, David Nyakang’o and Wellington Godo to be Members of the Privatisation Commission, for one year.

Education CS Julius Ogamba appointed Margaret Koech, Joakim Mulaa and Daniel Mutai to be members of the Council of the Ol’lessos National Polytechnic, for three years.

Meanwhile, Lands CS Alice Wahome appointed Mary Njeri Kamunyu and Regina Njoki Njue to be members of the Land Surveyors’ Board, for two years.

She also appointed Eunice Njoki to be the Chairperson of the Estate Agents Registration Board for one year, and Daniel Maina to be the Chairperson of the Valuers Registration Board for three years.
