Egerton University students staged demonstrations on Friday at Njoro Campus, Nakuru, to oppose the new exam fees imposed on students sitting for supplementary examinations.
The students who were shouting "Kahi must go" forced their way into the school's administration block where the protests were launched.
Prof Alexander Kahi is the Deputy Vice-Chancellor in charge of academic affairs.
Learning in the institution was paralyzed as all the colleagues were forced out of the lecture rooms to fully participate in the protests.
The student leader, Cylus Makokha, justified the protests noting that efforts to resolve the issue with the school administration had failed.
