Speaking during an interview on KTN News on September 18, the PS listed make-it-in-germany.com among websites where Kenyans can find opportunities aligning with their overall career goals.

According to the PS, the website in question is run by the German government and features plenty of genuine opportunities which Kenyans could explore.

She went on to list two more websites including deutschland.de and hub4africa.bayern that can be used as useful tools to navigate the job seeking process.

Make-it-in-Germany Portal

The website is open and easy to use at a glance. However, being a government run agency it features a number of options you can click on for help.

There are 6 tabs in the landing page with the first one being ‘working in Germany’. Scrolling down you will come across the ‘job listings’ button and sure enough, there are several jobs listed and you can filter the feed to get a specific position.

In fact, there are thousands of jobs listed in different sectors and at the time of writing this article, there were 21,351 total jobs on the website.

The website also offers in-depth insight into different topics including; living in Germany, study and vocational training and visa and residence.

Opportunities

Njogu also provided websites that could be used to help navigate the entire application process and guide prospective job seekers on their journey to working in Germany.

Deutschland.de for instance helps Kenyans navigate the uncertain nature of working abroad by providing testimonials from foreigners already working in Germany.

As for Hub4Africa.bayern, courses for job seekers in different stages of their journey are offered to all Africans.

The site offers courses for people trying to figure out their career path, vocational education, business-savvy entrepreneurs and also for training professionals and teachers.

During the interview, PS Njogu also urged Kenyans to not shy away from looking for the jobs in traditional job seeking sites like LinkedIn.

Njogu further advised Kenyans to seek the services of recruiters in Germany or in Kenya with contacts accessible at the National Employment Authority (NEA) website.

The PS also clarified that different regions in Germany have their own tailored specific websites. She revealed Kenyans will be made aware of these when the information becomes available.
