President Uhuru Kenyatta Should Be a Dictator- Senior Jubilee Official Declares

Jubilee Party Vice- Chairman David Murathe has declared that  President Uhuru Kenyatta should be a dictator to impact any meaningful development for the country.

Speaking during an interview on KTN News, Mr Murathe stated that countries like Rwanda and Uganda were stable because of the type of leadership they had.

“What this country needs now is a benevolent dictator. People have been too soft so that things have gone rogue”  The Jubilee Vice-Chairman disclosed.

He added that by taking a strong stance the President would prevent certain individuals from taking the country hostage with tough demands.

In a quick rejoinder, Head of NASA Secretariat Norman Magaya slammed the Jubilee leader that insisting that the opposition would not allow dictatorship in the country.

“We will defeat you, David, we will not allow you to introduce dictatorship in this country. You will not intimidate us, we will have an election that conforms to the Constitution”, the Head of NASA Secretariat retaliated.

Earlier on today, National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga made a u-turn decision on the October 26 repeat election issuing a new demand.

Mr Odinga asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to withdraw the proposed amendments to election laws as a pre-condition for his participation in the repeat polls.

The Opposition leader condemned the two proposed Bills – Elections Act (Amendment) Bill 2017 and Election Offences (Amendment) Bill 2017 – terming them as "retrogressive".

He further compared the move by the Jubilee party to changing the rules of the game at halftime.
