Lawyer Ahmednasir Shamed After Comment on Closure of University of Nairobi

Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi, popularly known as the Grand Mullah, was on Tuesday morning humiliated after he tweeted about the closure of the University of Nairobi.

The Nairobi lawyer expressed his disappointment over the closure of the University sparking reactions from social media users.

"Sad that the University of Nairobi is closed... during my three years of undergraduate, University of Nairobi was not closed even for a single day," he stated.

His tweet elicited reactions from Kenyans who attacked him questioning how he managed to complete his law degree within three years.

This is not the first time his comments have elicited reactions among Kenyans online.

Last month, his tweet mocking National Super Alliance (NASA) supporters ahead of the repeat presidential election scheduled for October 26 angered the opposition supporters.

Mr Abdullahi stated that NASA flag bearer Raila Odinga would manage 40 percent votes in the repeat presidential election if his supporters spent at least 30 percent of their time campaigning for him.

He went ahead to tag Suna East MP and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Director of Elections Junet Mohammed in the tweet.

The Tweet read: “Confident that if Baba's supporters spent just 30% of time wasted on Twitter campaigning for him, Baba will score 40% on 26/10.”
