National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders have made new revelations after meeting with the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
Speaking during a press conference on Tuesday, Siaya Senator James Orengo stated that the electoral commission had not met any of the demands made by the opposition.
Orengo stated that they had agreed to have another meeting with IEBC and were expecting that the commission would respond substantially to the issues raised by NASA.
"None of our demands (irreducible minimums) have not been discussed or met. They are giving us a report of what they're doing not what they intend to do to rectify the mistakes," Orengo stated.
“We hope the commission will respond substantially to the issues that we have raised,” he added.
Orengo insisted that the fresh presidential election must be held in accordance with Constitution.
He stated that IEBC should ensure transmission of results in real time from the polling stations to the National Tallying Centre and the constituencies.
The Senator further insisted that there should be an audit to ensure the security and integrity of the technology that will be used in the repeat poll.
"If we go by the route set out by IEBC, elections will be held within 60 days but it will not be in accordance with the law," Orengo highlighted.
The Siaya Senator further stated that the anti-IEBC demos by NASA supporters would continue on Friday as planned.
