Nakuru county Senator Susan Kihika felt the wrath of a section of Kenyans on Wednesday after she tagged her Siaya counterpart James Orengo, who is also National Super Alliance (NASA's) senior counsel, in a tweet on the presidential election petition.
On Tuesday, Mr Orengo had stated that Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) is only concerned about holding elections within the stipulated 60 days and not about the issues raised by the opposition.
In the quoted tweet, Ms Kihika appeared to be correcting the senior counsel noting that the IEBC is ready for elections as directed in the Supreme Court ruling.
She went ahead to state that she could send Orengo the full ruling on direct message if he did not have a copy.
This message did not augur well with netizens who questioned her for challenging the seniour counsel whom they noted was above her status given that he had won the presidential petition.
Senator James Orengo represented NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga in the election petition filed before the Supreme Court which went ahead to nullify President Uhuru Kenyatta's re election.
