The Kisumu High Court has directed the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to secure gubernatorial election materials used in Kisumu County during August election.
The Court gave the order in a case where former Kisumu Governor Jack Ranguma is challenging Kisumu Governor Anyang' Nyong’o's win.
The respondents in the case are IEBC, Governor Nyong'o and the Kisumu County Returning Officer John Cox Lorionokou.
Judge David Majanja ordered the parties to decide on how they will access the electronic materials needed in the case.

He further directed the parties involved to agree on a list of witnesses for both Prof Nyong’o and IEBC.
Justice Majanja, however, stated that further orders would be granted on October 17 based on evidence adduced.
“Parties must sit, discuss and agree on how the election materials including the important forms are to be in safe custody during the case,” Justice Majanja stated.
In the petition, Mr Ranguma accused IEBC of mismanaging the elections in Kisumu county which affected the results.
The former Governor asked the court to declare Prof Nyong'o's victory null and void.
Ranguma lost to the former Senator during the ODM nominations after which he resigned from the party and unsuccessfully vied as an independent candidate.
