Police Raid Billionaire Jimmy Wanjigi's Home in Muthaiga

Police have raided the home of prominent businessman Jimmy Wanjigi at Muthaiga in Nairobi.

The raid by officers from the Special Crimes Prevention unit happened hours after a similar incident in another house allegedly owned by Wanjigi in Malindi.

Police officers in Malindi led by OCPD Matawa Muchangi recovered five AK 47s, 93 rounds of ammunition and a tortoise shell from the house belonging to two Italians.

Four people were arrested and later revealed they had been employed by Wanjigi to take care of the premise.

Documents found in the house bore the name of one of Wanjigi's companies, Kwacha Group of Companies.

“We got a tipoff from the public and we carried out the dawn raid from 12 am to 11 am. Investigations are ongoing,” Muchagi stated

“The weapons were seized during the raid. We are interrogating the workers and have launched investigations to establish the owner of the house,” he added.

The Police boss stated that they had launched investigations to establish the real owner of the house.
