Raila Reveals Where Guns Found in Jimmy Wanjigi's House Came From

National  Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga has spoken out on a cache of weapons found in a Malindi home linked to Jimmy Wanjigi.

The former Premier stated that the weapons were actually found at sea during a police operation in 2012 and further claimed there is evidence of the same.

"The weapons in Malindi are from 2012, they were found at sea. You people from the newspaper should check your archives and you will confirm," Odinga stated.

The NASA leader was speaking at Wanjigi's Muthaiga residence on Wednesday after police complied with a court order that compelled them to stop the search on the premises.

On Monday, a house in Malindi linked to Wanjigi was raided by security officers who later claimed to have found a number of firearms.

Later, the police arrived at the controversial businessman's Muthaiga home where they conducted a search for firearms and documents.

They were in possession of a court order that allowed them to search Kwacha Group offices along General Mathenge Road as well as Caramel Lounge in Westlands.

Odinga revealed how he was forced to spend the night at Wanjigi's home after police declined to let Mr Wanjigi's lawyer, Siaya Senator James Orengo, get past the gate.

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party leader questioned the officer in charge of the raid on why his men had refused to comply with the order.

Wanjigi thanked Odinga for supporting him stating: "If it was not for baba, I don't know where my family would be today."
