Chiloba is Still in His Office - Raila Reveals

National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga has sensationally claimed that Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Chief Executive Ezra Chiloba is still actively involved in the affairs of the electoral body even after taking a three-week leave.

Speaking in Keroka on Monday at a NASA rally, Mr Odinga alleged that Chiloba was still in his office accusing him of first laying a trap for NASA ahead of the October 26th poll.

He stated: "Ameshatengeneza mtego yote ameweka pale, ndio anasema amejiondoa. Nani mjinga? (He has set the whole trap and left it there, and then he says he has left. Who is stupid?)

"Isitoshe, nataka mjue leo asubuhi, saa moja ya asubuhi Chiloba alikuwa kwa ofisi. Tena bado ako kwa ofisi mpaka saa hii (I want you to know this morning at 7 am, Chiloba was in the office. And he is there until now)," Mr Odinga added.

NASA is scheduled to hold a series of rallies in Kisii and Nyamira as they maintain their stance that there will be no election on October 26th.

During the rally, Odinga was accompanied by other Kisii leaders led by area Governor James Ongwae.

The leaders stated that they could not go into an election as the electoral body had not met their 'Irreducible Minimum' conditions.

They specifically cited the involvement of Dubai-based printing firm Al Ghurair and Paris-based technology company IDEMIA (formerly OT-Morpho), which they have accused of abetting electoral fraud.

Mr Odinga reiterated his allegation that fake ballot papers had already been illegally printed.

He also hailed former IEBC commissioner Roselyne Akombe for her bravery, noting that she exposed the rot within the electoral body despite receiving several death threats.
