Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu's Bodyguard Shot

Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu's bodyguard has been shot and wounded in Hurlingham area, Nairobi.

The constable identified as Titus Musyoka was attacked near Marsabit plaza by an unknown gunman.

His shooter also robbed him his gun before fleeing the scene on a motorbike.

Confirming the incident, Dagoretti OCPD Rashid Mohammed indicated that the incident occurred at 4:30 pm.

Mr Mohammed has stated that the aide was shot on the shoulder and has been taken to Nairobi Women’s Hospital for treatment.

He also confirmed that Mr Musyoka's boss, Ms Mwilu, was not in the vehicle.

The OCPD has pointed out that the matter is being treated as a robbery but investigations into the matter is ongoing.

Nairobi police boss Japheth Koome also confirmed the incident stating: “We have launched an investigation and we are looking for the criminals who shot the DCJ’s driver."

Reports indicate that Mr Titus had gone to buy plants for his boss to take to her home in Makueni.
