4. Instructing his supporters to boycott businesses that seem to promote the government's agenda.

5. Convening a special team to push for a free and fair election in 90 days.

The NASA leader added that there was a plan by the government to massacre his supporters and as such asked them to stay away from polling stations.

Odinga referred to the election as a 'coup' stating that it was high time Kenyans stood up for their rights.

"When injustice becomes law, resistance becomes a duty and if there is no justice for the people, let there be no peace for the government.

"Consequently, when the government is established contrary to the Constitution and the law defiance and disobedience becomes an imperative," stated Odinga.

Earlier on Thursday, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Chairman Wafula Chebukati announced that the Presidential election slated for October 26 will go on as planned.

Speaking from Bomas of Kenya on Wednesday afternoon, Mr Chebukati assured the country that everything was set for the polls and Kenyans should go out to exercise their constitutional right.

He stated that in the past weeks, he held fruitful discussions with President Uhuru Kenyatta and Odinga over the current state of the nation.

Chebukati further divulged that the police were under strict orders not to harass anyone during the election period and warned the officers that anyone caught breaching this would face the full force of the law.
