A section of journalists were kicked out of a tallying centre in Mandera County on Thursday as they sought to take images of forms 34A.
The incident occurred at Mandera East Constituency tallying centre where County elections coordinator David Maro Ade kicked out members of the press who were trying to capture shots of the forms.
Mr Ade found journalists talking to Mr Rashid Ali, the Mandera East returning officer, and, on inquiry, he was informed that they were seeking permission to take images of forms 34A arriving from various polling centres.

The elections coordinator insisted that the journalists would not be allowed to do so and chased them out of the room.
"There is no such a provision for journalists to take images of forms 34A and they should leave the room,” he instructed.
Journalists tried to defy the order but police officers were called in to bundle them out of the National Drought Management Authority (NDMA) hall in Mandera Town.
The Presidential election kicked off on Thursday morning although voter turn out was way below expected.
In Jubilee Party strongholds, voting went on smoothly and voters lauded the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) for ensuring all systems were functional.
The case was totally different in opposition strongholds as National Super Alliance (NASA) supporters boycotted the polls and engaged police in running battles.
In Kisumu, one person was killed and several others hospitalised with gunshot wounds as the demos turned ugly.
Residents of the area have maintained that no election will take place.
