Babu Owino Shames Kipchumba Murkomen

Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen was shamed by Embakasi East Member of Parliament (MP) Babu Owino online after he tweeted about the national examination.

Murkomen stated that children from Nyanza region deserved to sit for their examinations in a peaceful environment like those in other parts of Kenya.

The Senator added that National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga should respect the candidates.

Mr Owino replied to Murkomen’s tweet with an image of a mud building alleging that it was a photo of Murkomen's former school, Tangul Primary School.

Owino wrote: “Charity begins at home my friend. This is Tangul primary school where Murkomen attended school in 2017!!!”

Homa Bay County Woman Rep Gladys Wanga echoed Owino's comment stating that the children in Tangul Primary deserved a better environment to sit for their exams.

Murkomen, however, dismissed Babu's claims stating that though the comment was false, he was happy to have come this far from such an enviroment without militia or resistance movement.

He wrote: "Though it's not true, I celebrate God's unmerited favor from such environment to this far without militia or resistance movement.”

The Senator also posted an image of Tangul Primary School stating: "This is the Tangul Primary I know in my county and Kenya."
