NASA Announces New Tactics for Next Week's Demos [VIDEO]

The National Super Alliance (NASA) on Wednesday announced new measures that the coalition had put in place to ensure demonstrations planned for next week are effective.

Speaking during an interview with Citizen TV, NASA CEO Norman Magaya explained that the Alliance had trained protest marshalls to ensure that all the coalition's supporters maintain peace during the protests.

Mr Magaya further explained that the Opposition team was also seeking services of civil organisations on how to conduct peaceful protests.

"We have retained services from civil organisations on peaceful assembly and protests. We intend to use the organisations to ensure that our people are guided accordingly," Magaya stated.

Regarding the issue of boycotting business entities which are accused of supporting Jubilee, the CEO noted that a list will be provided next week giving directions to their supporters.

"The exercise will be objective. We will show the links that each of these business entities have had either in compromising NASA's quest for free and fair election or how they are facilitating this dictatorship," the NASA CEO noted.

Mr Magaya also mentioned that businesses with a portrait of President Uhuru Kenyatta should be avoided since the coalition does not recognise the President-elect.

He, however, declared that the coalition will not move to court to challenge President Kenyatta's win adding that anyone that files such a petition should not be seen as a NASA proxy.

"Whoever is going to court should not be seen as a NASA proxy. I can speak as the coalition's CEO that we have no intention to retain a proxy. I think we have demonstrated immense ability to prosecute matters in court in our name where we believe it is the right thing to do," he explained.
