Uhuru’s Presidency to Be Denounced

The National Super Alliance (NASA) has advised its county assemblies to pass a proposition this week denouncing the re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The Opposition announced that the motion would be tabled in 18 county assemblies that are allied to NASA this Thursday.

The assemblies will be expected to approve the Opposition's quest to form the People’s Assembly to spearhead NASA's reform agenda.

Speaking in Kibera on Sunday, Siaya Senator James Orengo affirmed that their MCAs would not recognize President Kenyatta’s election as a legitimate one.

Senator Orengo further ascertained that they would this week announce the date for the continuation of the NASA protests.

“In Kilifi, the MCAs have begun debating a motion on secession and as NASA, we are telling them they have every right to contemplate such a move.

The Senator was accompanied by Woman Representatives Gladys Wanga (Homa Bay), Esther Passaris (Nairobi), MPs George Aladwa (Makadara), Anthony Oluoch (Mathare), Julius Mawathe (Embakasi South), Millie Odhiambo (Suba North), Opiyo Wandayi (Ugunja), Ken Okoth (Kibra) and former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale.

The leaders also threatened to swear in Raila Odinga as the Head of State if Kenyatta is inaugurated. They further asked their supporters to resist the President and join the movement to eject him from State House.

“If you go to Kasarani for Uhuru’s swearing-in, we shall go to the Nyayo stadium to swear in Raila Odinga,” Khalwale warned.

Senator Orengo demanded that the IEBC open the servers for the August 8 polls so that they can declare Odinga the fifth President of the Republic of Kenya.
