Mugo, who is the husband to a former MCA is said to have left the Czeska pistol in his car last night and went to an unknown local club in Kerugoya town.

On returning hours later, he realised that an unidentified individual had broken into his vehicle and made away with the firearm and his phone.

Kirinyaga Police Commander David Kirui confirmed the incident adding that the Police took the right step after realizing the gun was lost.

Mr Kirui further pointed that they had launched investigations into the case.

The Police Commander noted that it was a criminal offence to lose a licensed firearm and the driver must, therefore, face the law once investigations are complete.

“Anyone who is licensed to carry a gun is supposed to be very careful to ensure that it does not land in the wrong hands,” he stated.

Mr Kirui stated that the driver erred when he left his gun kept carelessly in his vehicle noting that he will not be spared.
