He further dismissed allegations that Kiambu MCAs are set to manage Sh9 Billion in a fund set up by Governor Waititu.

Mr Njoroge stated: “MCAs will not be handling the county fund, the ward development committee members will be the managers of that fund.”

He however, stated the MCAs will be patronizing the account to ensure that the money is not misused and allocation of money is done appropriately.

Governor Waititu had stated that his administration, through the regional assembly, had set up a fund worth Sh9 Billion with a view to decentralizing development.

According to Mr Waititu, each of the wards will get an estimated Sh30 Million per year, to ensure equitable sharing of resources among the different regions of the county.

The arrangement is similar to the National Government Constituency Development Fund (CDF), which is patronized by MPs.
