President Uhuru Kenyatta's Message to Kenyans After Supreme Court Win

State House Spokesperson Manoah Esipisu on Tuesday held a briefing at Harambee House office where he conveyed President Uhuru Kenyatta's message to Kenyans a day after the Supreme Court upheld his win in the repeat Presidential election.

He stated that President Kenyatta was ready to take on the task of uniting the country with his inauguration confirmed for Tuesday, October 28 at Kasarani Stadium.

Esipisu stated: "The President would like to assure all Kenyans, those who voted for him and those who did not, that he will be their President, a President for all Kenyans.

"No one should fear that they will be marginalized or penalized for their political choice," he continued.

He also reiterated that President Kenyatta was committed to protecting Kenyan lives and property while expressing regret over property lost during recent political activities.

President Kenyatta also thanked the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) for conducting an election under what he described as 'difficult circumstances'.

Esipisu also divulged that President Kenyatta had so far received congratulatory messages from more than 40 countries.

It was further revealed that preparations for the President's inauguration were in high gear.

The media was promised that they would be given direction on accreditation for the event later in the day.

Various leaders from across the continent and the world are expected to show up as President Kenyatta takes his oath of office.
