President Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday gave his deputy William Ruto a new title during his inauguration that took place at Kasarani stadium.
As soon as he finished giving his 3,900-second term speech, the President announced that he would lead the prayers assisted by his deputy whom he branded 'pastor.'
"I want us to pray and say the Lord's Prayer. I'll start it in English and my brother here, pastor, will finish in Kiswahili," he conveyed.
The Deputy President reiterated Mr Kenyatta's statement that the political journey of campaigns was not because of their might but by God's grace.

"And I agree with you today: It is not by witchcraft, it is about prayer. And today, I want us to sing that there is no God like ours, and today, I will be the soloist," Mr Ruto stated.
The President had earlier set the tone for what he stated was God's hand during the difficult campaign journey.
He acknowledged Mr Ruto's resilience and his wife, Rachel Ruto's prayerful nature.
“Let me thank my friend and brother, Deputy President William Ruto. Your energy, humor and optimism lifted our campaign every day.
“I also wish to thank Mrs Ruto. You have been the spiritual and prayerful bedrock of our two families; and the Kenyan nation,” Mr Kenyatta stated.
