Uhuru's 1st Directive After He Was Sworn In

President Uhuru Kenyatta has announced that all Africans traveling to Kenya will be issued with Visas at the point of entry in a bid to entrench Pan-Africanism.

Kenya becomes the third country after Rwanda and Ghana to open up it's borders to African citizens.

He stated: "Any African wishing to visit Kenya will be eligible to receive a visa at the point of entry.

"To underscore Kenya's commitment to Pan-Africanism, this shall not be done on the basis of reciprocity," he declared.

In addition, he declared that citizens of East African Community (EAC) member states will be able to live, work and marry in Kenya with only their Identification Cards.

President Kenyatta stated: "From today, you (EAC citizens) will be treated like Kenyans. Like your Kenyans brothers & sisters you will only need your ID card."

He further directed that all candidates who sat the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examination be informed of what schools they will be joining for Form 1 by Christmas.

The President and his Deputy, William Ruto, are headed to a luncheon at State House, Nairobi.
