President Uhuru Kenyatta has asked Kenyans to make four pledges days before National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga's planned inauguration slated for Jamhuri Day.
Through his official social media account, the President told Kenyans to unite and work towards taking the country to prosperity.
Here are the four things he told Kenyans to pledge to do:
1. Reject hate and division
"Pledge to reject the politics of division, hate, and violence, and instead take the higher, more sacred road, of working to build your community and our beloved country Kenya," he conveyed.

2. Be your brother's keeper
President Kenyatta asked Kenyans to take care of each other regardless of the language, the part of Kenya where anyone hails from, religion and social status.
3. Reject cynicism
"Make a pledge to reject pessimism and cynicism in your thought and talk about Kenya; instead, embrace the empowerment that comes from optimism and hope even when times are tough," he added.
4. Work hard build Kenya
He concluded with: "Pledge to work as hard as you can to improve your productivity, and to ensure that your children group honest and productive Kenyans, and to grow your country to the best of your ability."
On the other hand, on Saturday, the Opposition Leader stated that President Kenyatta's regime would not last until 2022.
Speaking at Sidindi, Ugunja constituency during the burial service of Collins Owino who was reportedly killed during Mr Odinga's homecoming, the former Prime Minister announced that he will not sit back and watch as Kenyans suffer in the hands of Jubilee.
He mentioned that he together with other leaders will work to ensure that "Kenyans get to Canan".
"Canaan is real. An illegitimate government cannot be made legitimate through the use of arms and the power of the guns.
