NASA Sends Invites To Raila's Swearing-in

The National Super Alliance (NASA) has begun sending out invites to Raila Odinga's Swearing-in which is scheduled to take place on December 12.

Digital invitation cards were sent out appended with the former Prime Minister's name, but they do not indicate the venue of the event.

“You are invited. Come witness the swearing-in of the peoples’ president Raila Amollo Odinga on 12th December at 12 noon. Location to be communicated after vetting of RSVP,” the card reads.

The opposition coalition indicated that regional and international leaders had been invited to the Swearing-in ceremony but did not name them.

A seven-member committee was appointed to coordinate the activities of counties that have passed the People's Assembly motion sponsored by NASA.

The same committee is set to list activities that will take place ahead of the inauguration.

NASA leader Raila Odinga last week announced that he would be sworn in as President during Kenya's 54th Independence Day (Jamhuri) Celebrations.

He maintained that President Uhuru Kenyatta's administration was illegitimate and maintained that they do not recognize it.

It is not yet known how this inauguration will take place as President Kenyatta is legally in office and is the custodian of the instruments of power.

NASA has, however, maintained that the swearing-in will happen in accordance with the law.
