4 Killed, Several Injured in Grisly Accident [PHOTOS]

At least 4 people were killed and scores others were injured on Thursday evening after a bus overturned along the Garissa - Nairobi road.

Reports indicate that the accident at Bangal area involved a bus belonging to Earth Plane which left Garissa for Nairobi at 3pm.

The injured were rushed to Garissa Provincial General Hospital (PGH).

In August, another accident occurred around the same area and 10 people lost their lives after a bus they were travelling in collided with a lorry.

The bus christened Sabrin was headed to Nairobi from Wajir when it collided with the lorry which was carrying rocks. 

On Wednesday, a 33-seater bus rammed into a lorry on the Nairobi-Nyeri Highway near blue post hotel in Thika.

7 passengers including the driver of the bus sustained serious injuries and were rushed to Thika level five Hospital for treatment.

The bus belonging to UMOWA Sacco was headed to Ekalakala from Nairobi.

The accident caused heavy traffic along the Nairobi - Thika highway that took police several hours to decongest.

According to eyewitnesses, the accident was caused by a breakdown vehicle that was towing a lorry that had crashed on the same spot.
