Tony Gachoka Advises Raila to wait for 2022 General Election

Political analyst Tony Gachoka has asked National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga to patiently wait for 2022 because not everyone in Jubilee Party wants Deputy President William Ruto.

This came after the postponement of the planned ceremony to swear in Odinga as President.

Gachoka asked the opposition leader to move on and lauded NASA for calling off the inauguration.

"@RailaOdinga greetings from Diani! Baba let’s move on...the suspension of swearing-in is a very good move. Let Kenya remain peaceful.

"@UKenyatta will soon complete his term & not everyone in Jubilee wants @WilliamsRuto wacha utaona (you will see) ... Mungu Mbele (God first)," stated Gachoka.

President Uhuru Kenyatta was declared winner of the October fresh election and is set to complete his final term in 2022.

DP Ruto is set to take over from then on but according to Gachoka, there are politicians in Jubilee who will not back him.

On Sunday, NASA postponed Odinga's swearing in following the intervention of foreign diplomats and an internal push to drop the tag of violence that has marked his push for electoral justice.

The ceremony was to take place at Tononoka Grounds in Mombasa County and a section of supporters of the opposition expressed their displeasure at the move.

NASA co-principal Musalia Mudavadi, however, reiterated that the coalition would not relent in its quest for justice and would continue pushing for reforms.

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria also praised Odinga's move to cancel the event but warned him that there were people in his camp who were misleading him and subjecting him to public ridicule.
