Why Kalonzo Will Miss Nyenze's Burial - Mutula Kilonzo Explains

Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka will not attend the burial of  Kitui West MP Francis Nyenze set for Tuesday.

The former Vice President was expected to jet back to the country last evening ahead of Nyenze's burial which is set to take place in Kabati, Kitui West.

Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Jr revealed that the NASA co-principal will not make it to the burial due to change of planes which led to Kalonzo missing his flight back home.

Kalonzo, who has been attending to his ailing wife in Germany, could not board the plane on time to make it for the burial.

National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga and his co-principal Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula are set to grace the event which will also be attended by other members of NASA's National Resistance Movement (NRM) wing.

Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu, who is also the leader of NARC Party, will be the host of the event to be attended by thousands of mourners.

Kitui Central MP Makali Mulu will be the Master of Ceremony.

According to a report by Citizen, President Uhuru Kenyatta will not also be attending Nyenze's burial but will be represented by House Majority Leader Aden Duale and Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko.

Opposition politics are set to take center stage after Odinga reaffirmed on Sunday that he will be soon sworn-in as the 'People's President.'
