Video of NYS Boss Mercilessly Beating His Junior Elicits Mixed Reactions

A video of a security officer believed to be from the National Youth Service (NYS) beating up a colleague who appeared to be his junior emerged on Thursday.

The tough commanding officer is seen beating up the NYS officer as he compels him to smear himself with mud.

While his colleagues stand in a parade, the officer is also directed to roll over the ground which appears muddy before he is thoroughly beaten.

The disappointed official repeatedly asks his subject to smear himself the mud insisting that he cannot see the dirt on his face, more so the eyes.

It is not clear what offence the junior officer had committed but the senior asked why he kept running while he was being addressed.

"Jipake uso, jipake haraka, enda chini sioni kitu kwa uso, sijaona kitu kwa macho wewe, kwa nini unatoroka wakati me nakuuliza.

"Ulikuwa wapi, ulikuwa unawachia nani akuchungie, nini yako ingine iko hapa, lala hapa kwanza (smear yourself, do it fast. Get down, I can't see anything on your face and eyes, why are you running while I am talking to you? Where were you, who did you assign to guard for you, what else do you own here, lie here)," he posed

His fellows, including the one recording the video are heard murmuring with some of them laughing at the roughed up colleague.

This video elicited mixed reactions from various social media users, majority of them blaming this act for the excessive force used by the security personnel in the country.
