Uhuru Given 7 Days to Make Decision on Raila

President Uhuru Kenyatta was on Sunday given seven days to make a decision on engaging in dialogue with Opposition leader Raila Odinga.

Speaking in Mombasa County on Sunday, Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka warned President Kenyatta that he had one week to start a dialogue with Odinga.

According to the former Vice President, the country may get into a crisis if the Head of State does not move with speed to resolve the matter.

The Wiper leader emphasized that this was the last chance for Jubilee to stop the looming danger.

"I want to tell Uhuru that if he doesn't call Raila for dialogue in the next one week, then the country will tumble," he stated.

The former Prime Minister, on his part, assured his supporters that he will be inaugurated on January 30 without fail.

He announced that in future, there will be no need to have elections if the will of the majority is not guaranteed, adding that supporters of the coalition should travel to the city in readiness for the swearing-in.

"We must make sure that this is the last time elections are stolen in Kenya. We must ensure that no regime engineers theft of votes in our country.

"The day of reckoning is drawing closer. The trumpet will sound and I urge you to be prepared to defend democracy and end the culture of vote stealing. Jubilee government is trying to take us back to Egypt. Are you ready?”  Odinga was quoted by The Standard.

During the Mombasa event, the leaders from the Coastal region made a declaration to support Odinga's inauguration, continue pushing for secession and oppose plans to relocate the Mombasa port.
