Raila Swearing-In Schedule to Be Unveiled Today

Opposition Leader Raila Odinga on Saturday announced that his inauguration was still on course.

Speaking in Vihiga County during the funeral of, 16 people who died in a road accident at Kamukuywa Bridge, Mr Odinga explained that the committee had made a huge progress adding that his inauguration date will be announced soon.

In regards to the detailed plan of his swearing-in. the former Prime Minister explained that an announcement giving further explanations will be made today.

"Our steering committee will tomorrow release timetable for the swearing in. I am ready to die if that is what will bring electoral justice," the Star quoted Mr Odinga.

The Opposition Chief maintained the coalition's position that they will not recognise President Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election.

According to the National Super Alliance (NASA) leader, he won the August General Election and as such he will proceed and take an oath of office.

"Being the duly elected president, I will not hesitate to carry the Bible on the day to be announced to Kenyans on Sunday," he stated.

Raila's sentiments were echoed by Senator George Khaniri and Sabatia MP Alfred Agoi who noted that they will not rest until he is sworn in.

"Baba we respect you a lot but you are letting us down. Don't loosen your stand don't be the first one to drop out," Khaniri stated.
