Opposition Leaders Have not Been Harassed by Government - Ekuru Aukot

Thirdway Alliance self-proclaimed 'Opposition' leader Ekuru Aukot has confirmed that he had not been harrased, intimidated nor humiliated by the government.

Posing on his Twitter account, Aukot asserted that all his 'opposition' colleagues are well and the government cannot dare intimidate them.

Aukot stated that as he was responding to a complaint by National Super Alliance (NASA) co-principal Moses Wetangula on the adverse harassment being experienced by members of the NASA brigade.

Wetangula cited that what the government is doing by arresting and threatening NASA leaders is primitive and will only lead to polarizing the country.

He then directed the government to stop it.

Activist Boniface Mwangi responded to Dr Aukot's statement affirming that he (Aukot) was not the opposition leader

"You’re not opposition @EAukot!" he tweeted on Friday.

This follows the recent arrests of NASA leaders who were part of the controversial swearing - in of Raila Odinga as the People's President.

Ruaraka MP Tom Kajwang was the first one to be arrested by flying squad on Wednesday for administering an 'unlawful' oath to Odinga.

The self-proclaimed leader of the outlawed National Resistance Movement (NRM) Miguna Miguna was arrested on Friday after the police raided his house in Runda.

Miguna is yet to be released despite the high court's order to have him set free on Friday evening.
