Boni Khalwale Gives Only Solution to Save NASA

Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale on Saturday disclosed that secrecy in the events leading up to National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga's swearing-in would cause the collapse of the coalition.

Through his social media, the NASA leader stated that the Co-Principals' absence during the inauguration event at Uhuru Park had caused speculation among supporters and leaders alike that threatened their unity.

"Dangerous statements catalyzing the possible disintegration of NASA are coming in thick and fast, from our members and even our elected leaders!

"I urge our co-principles to individually step forward, and without diplo-speak, disclose to Kenyans what transpired before and on 30th January," he tweeted.

He further called on President Uhuru Kenyatta to hold a dialogue with Odinga to move the country forward.

"Legally, Kenyatta is President of Kenya but lacks legitimacy! Raila is Kenya People's President but without legal authority to transact any government business!

"Uhuru, stop the crackdown. Raila, halt the bravado. Lead us to the National table of dialogue and brotherhood," he conveyed.

Khalwale further agreed that the allegations against Makadara MP George Aladwa was part of the Jubilee plan to break up NASA.

Aladwa was arrested on Friday night at Buruburu, Nairobi and was held at the Directorate of Criminal Investigation headquarters for several hours before being released.

Police Spokesman Charles Owino divulged that the Opposition MP was probed over claims that he played a crucial role in masterminding the attack at Kalonzo's home.
