Tongaren MP Eseli Simiyu has announced that the National Super Alliance (NASA) is ready to pirate TV and Radio to mobilize supporters and push their agenda after the Government shut down 3 TV stations for airing the swearing in of Raila Odinga as the 'People's President' on January 30.
Simiyu stated that they would pirate their own stations if the Government refused to bring back the stations on the air.
“We are prepared and ready to do so at anytime should the ban on TV stations continue.
"We will not allow Jubilee to abuse the rights and freedoms of our people as enshrined in the constitution," Simiyu stated while speaking in Soy.
A pirate TV or radio station is one that operates without a licence from the relevant authorities, in this case the Communications Authority (CA).

CA has refused to be served with a court order that directed them to suspend the switch-off of the TV stations that entered it's 7th day on Monday.
The court order was issued after Activist Okiya Omtatah moved to court demanding the stations be allowed to resume broadcasting.
On January 30, 10 people in Land Cruisers are reported to have arrived at the CA's Limuru base where they proceeded to disable transmission for the three stations on multiple platforms.
Nation journalists Linus Kaikai, Ken Mijungu and Larry Madowo claimed to have had to spend a night in the newsroom after receiving information that plainclothes officers were waiting outside Nation Centre to arrest them.
Several leaders and groups have called on the State to switch the stations back on.
