Senator Kipchumba Murkomen and Lawyer Nelson Havi in Bitter Fight Over LSK Presidency

Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen was on Wednesday engaged in a bitter Twitter fight with outspoken Advocate Nelson Havi over the presidency of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK).

Havi was disqualified from vying for the legal society's top seat because he had not attained 15 years in practice from the date of his admission as provided for by the law.

He thereafter moved to court, suing the LSK to allow him to vie for the presidency.

The fight between the two personalities was as a result of a Standard article that reported in no certain terms that a number of senators attributed the city lawyer's loss to the fact that he had always been too controversial.

"You cannot lead an influential society, whose membership includes some of the most prominent people in the land when you are too controversial," the newspaper through its grapevine section quoted the politician.

The newspaper further conveyed that if the man wanted to be taken seriously by his fellow learned friends, he needed to work on his image.

In response to the article, Havi conveyed that by 'changing his image' Murkomen recommended that if he (Havi) entertained corruption, he would have clinched the seat.

"Ideally, Kipchumba Murkomen is saying that Nelson Havi should stop using his enormous knowledge and wisdom and become a tumbocrat, using canines on wide open jaws like himself! I am allergic to mediocre anxiety and that will not change. It is a condition, not a curable disease.

To which the Elgeyo Marakwet Senator hit back: "Every time you see a grownup resorting to baby class insults, it’s clear evidence that he suffers from acute attention deficit hyperactivity disorder."

The tweef did not end there with each trying to belittle the other boasting of their intellectual superiority.
