A section of National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders has ganged up against former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale following his interview during JKL's show on Citizen TV.
During the interview which aired on Wednesday, Khalwale gave his version of events of the night before Opposition leader Raila Odinga's swearing-in on January 30 including an agreement to postpone the ceremony after the intervention of former Nigeria President Olusegun Obasanjo.
He stated: "It was agreed that they were not going to take the oath. I believe that message was then conveyed to the Jubilee side by Obasanjo and this is why they withdrew police.
"People asked where was Wetangula, where was Mudavadi, where was Muthama and Khalwale. We were waiting for the Prime Minister (Odinga) to join us in talking to the country because the swearing in would not be there," revealed Khalwale.

Following his remarks, a number of NASA leaders came out to refute the turn of events as recollected by the former Senator.
NASA CEO Norman Magaya accused Khalwale of twisting facts to suit his narrative that Raila actually deviated from the plan agreed by all the principals.
"My brother @KBonimtetezi when you say the truth, you don't have to remember anything. Unfortunately, that simple test has evaded you tonight. You can't change the facts surrounding 30th January 2018. Those facts are stubborn irrespective of you twist them," he tweeted.
Similarly, ODM Director of Communications Philip Etale on Thursday stated that the former Senator had outrightly lied on national television.
"I can tell you without batting my eye, last night @KBonimtetezi lied on the issue of Swearing-In. At some point, I thought he and his host had rehearsed on what to say about it. Blatant lies," he stated.
Newly appointed ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna also chimed in urging Khalwale to move on as the country had moved on from the ceremony.

Similarly Self- declared National Resistance Movement (NRM) general Miguna Miguna hit out at the opposition leader over the interview.
"Rubbish! Khalwale is not "everyone." He is a certified coward and hypocrite. I didn't call him a "traitor;" I said he is a coward and hypocrite, which is self-evident. @KoinangeJeff is only interviewing him because he is now anti-H.E. @RailaOdinga!"
Odinga's spokesman Dennis Onyango who accused the host, Jeff Koinange, of having a fishy agenda by introducing a debate about the swearing-in.
