Uhuru's Stern Warning to Cabinet Secretaries [VIDEO]

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday sent a stern warning to all personnel whom he appointed recently.

Speaking during the swearing-in of Chief Administrative Secretaries and Principal Secretaries at State House, the Head of State warned that he would not condone any form of abuse of office.

"We made it clear that corruption and diversion of public resources will be dealt with swiftly and ruthlessly.

"No one will be spared if caught engaging in corruption. When things don't work out do not claim you are being picked on.

"Carry your own cross. Neither I nor DP Ruto will bail you out," he reiterated.

The President, however, expressed confidence in taking the country to the next level with the able team of experts at his disposal.

"Kenyans want to see their tax shillings used prudently for the maximum gain of the nation.

"They expect a lot from you to live true to the high and unmatched public expectations," he stated.

He further assured them of full support as they embark on their journey of delivering the 'four-point plan.'

Two weeks ago, Kenyatta also cautioned against laxity in his new Cabinet, stating those who fail to deliver will be sent packing.

The President added that Kenyans expect and shall receive an open, transparent and accountable government that is easily accessible, responsive and committed to excellence.

“This might also be the appropriate time to say that should you, at any time, feel the weight is too much, just say so, and we will find another deserving Kenyan to take your place,” he remarked.

President Kenyatta added that his second term will be “business unusual” for those who will not deliver to the expectation of Kenyans.
