Prof.Ole Kiyapi Explains Why Miguna Miguna is the Leader Kenya Needs

Former Presidential Candidate James Ole Kiyapi has stated that National Resistance Movement (NRM) self-declared general Miguna Miguna is the leader that Kenya needs.

Posting on his Twitter page, Mr Kiyapi noted that Miguna is the kind of person who will always address issues that others often shy away from despite who his message is directed to.

"Miguna Miguna is not the kind of guy who will say what the political class wants to hear - doesn't matter which side of the divide. He will say it as it is.

"Give it to him, he is an HONEST fellow, and the NEW broom of leadership Kenya badly needs," exclaimed the 2013 Restore and Build Kenya Party's presidential candidate.

The professor's remarks follow the political change brought about by the historic pact made by President Uhuru Kenyatta and National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga.

Kenyans responded to Kiyapi's sentiments as most of them supported him whereas others strongly opposed the idea of having Miguna as a national leader.

One user noted: "If we had over half of our politicians like #migunamiguna who are bold enough to speak their minds without fear that is telling Kenyans the truth the leadership of this country could learn to be honest and speak the truth then Kenya by now could credible by all means."

However, another user claimed: "@MigunaMiguna is very intolerant, you slightly disagree with him he blocks you. He can't be a leader, to him he is the only one RIGHT and anybody else is WRONG.."

Additionally Miguna, who is expected to return to the country on 26 March, recently demanded three things from President Uhuru Kenyatta.

In a statement, Miguna, through lawyer Nelson Havi, asked the state to issue him with a valid Kenyan Passport, to be delivered to him in Kenya through the Canadian embassy.

"They should also purchase and forward to Miguna an air ticket from Toronto, Canada to Nairobi, Kenya, arriving on the morning of 26th March," Mr Havi added.

Mr Havi also asked the Interior ministry to ensure that Miguna is granted safe re-entry and stay as had been ordered by the High Court and Court of Appeal.
