These Will Be Raila's New Official Duties - Kipchumba Murkomen

Elgeyo Marakwet County Senator and Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen has revealed that National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga is likely to be elected as a diplomat for African Affairs.

In a video seen by Kenyans.co.ke, Murkomen sarcastically revealed that plans were underway to set up an office for Raila in Nairobi.

Murkomen further hinted that Raila's busy itinerary would involve shuttling between Nairobi and Addis Ababa where the headquarters of African Union (AU) is hosted.

"We have agreed and talked to President to open him a big office in Nairobi, and give him very many workers.

"But his job is to go travelling to Addis Ababa, Geneva and New York. We don't want him to roam in Kenya," the senator noted.

Murkomen further stated that Raila would be entitled to his pension and perks despite him being in office.

The government regulations are that pension should only be paid to former government officials once they resign from active politics.

The Elgeyo Marakwet Senator further revealed that Deputy President William Ruto remained a priority Presidential candidate in 2022.

He further sarcastically added that Baringo Senator Gideon Moi would have to wait for 2075 if he desired to run for the presidency.
