The petition filed in Parliament seeking the removal of Cabinet Secretary Sicily Kariuki has been withdrawn after series of events to save her career bore fruit.
In a statement by Garissa Township Member of Parliament Aden Duale, he revealed that Jubilee Party had engaged legislators to allow the petition be dealt with internally by the leadership.
Duale told journalists: "We have agreed this morning that the matters raised by our colleagues can be resolved internally and we have given the leadership in and out of the house the opportunity to resolve those matter,” Duale affirmed.
He divulged that Jubilee engaged not only the three members but the wider membership of the party and the leadership and came to a conclusion to have an internal mechanism to resolve the issue.

Mandera North MP Bashir Abdullahi, who was behind the petition, withdrew the motion against CS Kariuki after consultations with Jubilee leadership.
Duale told the press they will address issues raised by the lawmakers on the CS's conduct together with the presidency and the cabinet.
He further reminded the MPs that Jubilee Party had serious issues to deal with in healthcare, manufacturing, food security and devolution which he asked them to concentrate on.
“Jubilee party is the ruling coalition, we have a strong relationship with the executive whether it is the cabinet, or the presidency or principal secretaries," the Garissa Township MP stated.
Abdullahi had cited cites gross misconduct and abuse of office as the grounds for the removal of CS Kariuki, noting that 170 MPs had expressed their lack of confidence in her leadership.
