Kenyan Man Behind Killings of Elderly Women in US Arrested in Dallas

A Kenyan man accused of attacking and killing elderly women in the US has been arrested.

Billy Kipkorir Chemirmir was being monitored by officers over a recent killing of an 81-year-old woman in Dallas when he was seen disposing of trash in a dumpster.

Upon checking what he had emptied into the bin, the police found a jewelry box containing a name.

Officers tracked that name to a Dallas address in the 6600 block of Warm Breeze Lane, where after conducting a welfare check, they found Lu Thi Harris, 81, dead of homicidal violence.

Chemirmir, 45, was immediately arrested and in his possession was some cash and a jewelry box.

He was taken to Dallas police headquarters and a thorough search revealed that he had other items belonging to the victim.

According to NBC 5, neighbours described Harris as a sweet, generous woman who lived alone.

Dallas Police obtained a capital murder warrant for Chemirmir and he was booked into the Dallas County Jail on a $1 million bond.

No attorney information was listed for him.

Sources further revealed that he posed as a home health worker or a maintenance man, targeted elderly women and used a pillow to smother them.

Most of his victims lived in a senior living community but police have expanded their investigations to other states.
