Patrick Muthomi, the job-seeker who went viral after taking his search for employment to Thika Road while carrying a placard for hours, has now quit the job he landed.
In an exclusive conversation with Kenyans.co.ke on Monday, Muthomi stated that his employer, Chandaria Industries, had reneged on an agreement they had concerning his remuneration.
"Its a matter of payments. We had an agreement and he failed to honour it," Muthomi explained.
According to Muthomi, they struck a deal that after six months of employment, his salary of Sh20,000 would be increased.
However, after working for over a year, the employer failed to offer him a raise, making it harder for him to keep up with responsibilities at home.

Muthomi, who is married with one child, revealed that though his family was well though the financial constraints were weighing on him.
"The family is very good, the only problem is the money," he noted.
He further disclosed that he had begun a new job search, affirming that he was interested in any opportunities that may arise.
However, Muthomi made it clear that this time he would demand an iron-clad contract to avoid facing the same problem twice.
"You know I'm a clever man. I now know people are treated like that. When you find yourself in that situation, you will not repeat the same mistake again.
"I will make sure we have a strong deal," Muthomi expressed.
