Miguna Miguna Was Detained in the UK over Terrorism Claims

Reports have emerged that controversial lawyer Miguna Miguna was detained in the United Kingdom on Thursday after landing by the border control officials and police.

Miguna was detained under Schedule 7 of UK’s Terrorism Act 2000, which is reserved for Special Branch officers.

The law gives UK police powers to examine persons of interest who go through their borders.

According to reports by the Daily Nation Miguna sent a WhatsApp message, informing his hosts waiting outside the airport that he had been flagged down by the UK police.

He stated that his clearance was to be delayed if at all he would be let to proceed and he stayed in police custody for three hours from the time he arrived at the airport.

The lawyer who was giving a public lecture in the UK told his audience at the University of Oxford that Britain is the “beast of colonialism” and it continues to regard Kenya as its colony.

He further accused Britain of orchestrating the recent political instability in Kenya for its self-gain.

Miguna also addressed Cambridge Analytica, a data firm that claimed to have influenced President Uhuru Kenyatta’s win, as a product of UK’s scheme to infiltrate Africa.

The self-declared general further accused senior figures in Jubilee of colluding with the UK in efforts to frustrate him.
