Trump Nominates Kyle McCarter to Replace Robert Godec as US Ambassador to Kenya

The US White House on Wednesday announced President Donald Trump has nominated Kyle McCarter to be the next ambassador to Kenya.

Reports by the White House confirmed that Trump had announced his intent to nominate McCarter to replace Godec since he had applied for the job in 2017 after working in Kenya for over 30 years.

An excited Kyle stated: “It is an honour to be asked to represent President Trump and our great nation in a country where I have lived and served for many years.”

He further maintained: “I look forward to bringing about a closer relationship that will benefit both our nations.”

Mc Carter was recommended for the position by all seven Republican members of the Illinois congressional delegation.

“No democracy is without some messiness. Every democracy has some messy parts. Sometimes to become the country you’re going to become, you go through some struggles. It’s no different anywhere in the world. I know the country I’m going to. And I know how generous our country is, and I think the people of Kenya do, too,” McCarter remarked.

When Kenyans.co.ke contacted the US Embassy in Kenya an official maintained that they were not aware of any such changes.

He with his parents they founded Each One Feed One International, which helps orphaned and abandoned children, and also provides medical treatment for those with HIV and malaria in Kenya.

Together with his wife Victoria the couple lived and worked in Kenya for a year beginning in 1987 to help build a medical clinic.

They later resumed their work with the charity in 2011 and continue to do so.
